All aspects of gardening, but especially co-creation and mutuality in the garden. How we can acknowledge, heal, and celebrate connections between ourselves and all other garden beings–animal and plant, deva and elemental.

Being an avid gardener with my entire working life being employed in the Horticultural Industry I have found that gardening is no different to anything else we do in life, you get out what you put in, the greater the effort and the greater the intent the greater the result.

Another book I’m loving is ”Moss Gardening” by George Schenk. Again, gorgeous photos–moss-covered rocks, moss and bonsai…. This guy loves moss, and he’s just a great personable guy. The book is minimally technical, really it’s about appreciation and enjoyment of mosses, how to grow them inside or outside (mostly outside), and random other ruminations, like the disposition of various nations towards mossy roofs. He speaks about these plants like good friends.

One book I’m currently reading and loving is ”The New Terrarium” by Tovah Martin. It’s all about growing plants under glass or in any manner of glass containers, and the plants are so awesome! Little bitty miniatures, orchids, mosses….The pictures are beautiful.
This is actually something I’d like to learn one of these days, but I have not read up on anything like it yet.
Well, maybe if it goes well, I’ll make you one. They look like so much fun!
I love the idea from an artistic perspective, but also the fact they’re a living form of art.
Yes, they’re bringing nature indoors in quite a beautiful way. And then if you have a love for things miniature as I do, they’re irresistible!

Open to feedback on the group description and avatar. Here are 2 great resources that have recently come my way. One is a book, Cultivating Sacred Space–Gardening For the Soul by Elizabeth Murray. It is so beautifully written. And check out these AMAZING faerie houses and environmental sculptures by artist Sally J. Smith: http://www.greenspiritarts.com/Greenspirit_Arts_Faerie_Houses_and_Environmental_Sculpture.html
